Endangered Animals

1. Tiger



- There are less than 3,200 left in the wild.

- They are hunted for their body parts and skin.
- Some of tiger subspecies that still exist: 


  • Sumatran tiger
  • Siberian tiger
  • Bengal tiger
  • Malayan tiger
  • South China tiger

2. Elephant














- They are being hunted widely for their tusks.
- Their tusks are used for luxury purpose such as piano keys and billiard balls.
- About 26,000 being hunted and killed every year.


3. Giant Panda



- There are only about 1,600 left in the wild.
- They can be found in China.
- The main reason for their decline is due to loss of natural habitat and poaching.


4. Rhinoceros












- There are only less than 3,000 left in the world.
- They are killed primarily for their horns.
- Can be found in southern and east Africa.
